Shieldline

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jordan Matthew Gibson ("Shieldline," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use the Shieldline application and related telephony service.

Third-party privacy and recording laws

Shieldline is designed to reveal the phone number of a caller who may have deliberately withheld it. That means use of the service affects the privacy interests of people who are not Shieldline subscribers.

Laws governing caller identification, interception, recording, transcription, disclosure, and use of telephone communications vary by jurisdiction. Call-recording consent rules also differ between so-called one-party and two-party (or all-party) consent states: some US states generally permit recording with one party's consent, while others require the consent of every party. Other rules may apply depending on where each person is located and how information is used.

You are responsible for determining whether your use of Shieldline—including listening to, retaining, sharing, exporting, or disclosing a caller's number, voicemail, or transcript—complies with the laws that apply to you and the caller. This policy is not legal advice. Consult your own qualified attorney if you need advice about your circumstances.

Information we collect

Account and subscription information

Caller and call information

Voicemail and device information

How we collect information

You provide account and carrier information directly. Call and voicemail information reaches Shieldline when you configure conditional forwarding on your own line and a call is forwarded to our toll-free number. Telnyx and participating telephone carriers provide telephony signalling, recordings, and related metadata. Your device provides its push token after you grant notification permission.

How we use information

Processors and service providers

We disclose data to providers that perform services for Shieldline:

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Telephone carriers and payment platforms may also independently collect information from you under their own policies.

Sale, advertising, and tracking

Shieldline does not sell personal information, use collected data for third-party targeted advertising, or track users across other companies' apps or websites.

Retention and deletion

Voicemail audio and its associated voicemail record are deleted after the configured retention window. The service default is 30 days, although the operator may configure a different period. Individual call records and their voicemail can also be deleted from the app.

In-app account deletion removes the account record and associated call history, voicemail records, block list, device registrations, authentication sessions, and subscription record from Shieldline's active database. Shieldline also attempts to remove stored voicemail media. Limited residual copies may remain temporarily in provider systems, backups, security logs, or records retained to meet legal and financial obligations.

Deleting a Shieldline account does not itself cancel an Apple-managed subscription. Cancel Apple subscriptions separately in Apple ID subscription settings before or after deleting the account.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights and appeal options.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, including authenticated access to call records and voicemail, scoped webhook controls, and provider signature verification. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

US-only service and children

Shieldline is offered only for United States phone lines and domestic US calling. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide any additional notice required by law.
